We had a mountain vacation trip planned for Tennessee during spring break but all that changed when everything shut down. We tried to rebook but nothing was available during the week Wayne was off from the school, so we searched for something local. The week before, something finally opened up so we headed to the beach. We stayed in Perdido Key. I loved it because we were close to everything but nothing was overly crowded.

I only had my camera out for one day because I promised to be fully present. My children are also like any others and don’t love family photos. Had I had more time to plan I would have definitely hired another great local photographer to capture us because photographing your own family is hard! I wish I could share the one with all 8 of us, it turned out so good. Our sweet girl is so excited to finally be in the family portrait.

We had access to both the beach and the river. It was great because when the smaller ones wanted to swim the older one could go out on the dock and fish. For us the location was perfect. I can’t believe this was just a year ago when we went to Tennessee. I can’t believe our 12 year old is already taller than me. I’m so thankful I get to be their mom!
