We photographed Fran and Eric’s engagement session in Washington Square in Mobile AL. This is in the neighborhood where Fran grew up so it is a special area to them. They will be getting married exactly one year from their engagement session. We are praying the weather is just as beautiful.

 

When Eric reached out to us about photographing their wedding, he shared a little of their story with us and we immediately fell in love with them both. “Fran and I met in Baltimore Maryland four years ago as we are both Ph.D. students at Johns Hopkins University. I’m a year ahead of her in the chemical biology program and she is in the biophysics program. We met at a social event the graduate student organization was holding in the downtown area one night. I am from Long Island, New York but Fran was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama which is why we are having the wedding there. I proposed July 21st of this year. Fran wanted to be surprised about everything for the proposal. She didn’t want to know what the ring looked like, or how I was going to do it or where. Just that she wanted friends and family to come if possible. Her close friends knew what she wanted so I did my due diligence in looking for estate style engagement rings and ended up designing one and planned a weekend trip for us to do the proposal. She thought for sure we were going to Ocean City which is the nearest Atlantic Ocean beach to Baltimore but that was a red herring I planned months ago. Fran really likes old style houses/bed and breakfasts so I found one that was off Chesapeake bay in a nice small town, so she was very surprised for the destination. The day of the proposal, I chartered us a private sailboat to take us on the Chesapeake bay for an hour which is where I proposed, and when we got back to Baltimore I planned a surprise party with her friends and family at a nice rooftop bar.” – Eric

 

When I spoke with Fran over the phone she was just as precious as Eric described. When we were photographing them last weekend it was evident how amazing they are for one another. Eric and Fran we are so excited for you both. It is such a honor to walk through this season with you and see all the Lord is doing in your lives. May the Lord bless and keep you and make His face to shine upon you.
