Josh and Ivy’s story is very precious to me. Josh is my brother and Ivy was apart of our youth group for several years. So we had a part in discipling each of them in different ways. We have had the pleasure of watching them grow in grace and love.
I can remember the day they met (because it was at my house) after Bible study one night. We had invited my family over after youth Bible study and Ivy who has always been like a little sister hung around a little later. I can still see Josh and Ivy on the porch laughing together, the same way they were the day of their wedding. The joy that they bring each other is infectious. The way they look at each other and the silly faces they make are so fun. It was such a joy to capture so many of these moments at their wedding. I look back on their pictures and it brings such joy and hope for their future.
It was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve had the pleasure to be apart of. You could feel the joy and excitement surrounding the whole day. While I know they were a little nervous it was going to be freezing, you couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was the day they both had dreamed of and it was full of love, joy, beauty and fun.
My prayer for Josh and Ivy is that they will continue to grow in grace and love. That they will be reminded that they married a sinner saved by grace. I pray the Lord will surround them with other believers that will encourage and strengthen them. I pray that as they grow they will invest in other young couples and share the love the Lord has blessed them with.
Josh and Ivy I love you guys!
