This week we have been studying John 6 and talking about what Jesus meant when He said “I am the bread of life”. While riding in the van the other day my 8 year old looks at me and says she believes she is being called to be a missionary overseas.

Today when we were encouraged by our curriculum to bake homemade bread and carry it to a neighbor, I knew this would be a great opportunity for her. So when we finished she gladly wrapped up the loaf and took it to our neighbor next door and she shared what she had been learning about John 6 with him.

This is one of the many reasons I love to homeschool our children. They have the opportunities to live out their giftings in a very real way. I absolutely love My Father’s World curriculum and have been using it now for 8 years. I hope you will enjoy the fun afternoon we’ve had baking bread!
