Heron Pointe at the Wharf in Orange Beach made the perfect backdrop for Morgan and Tyler’s wedding. The weather was beautiful, the light was amazing and the location was magnificent.
Family is very important to Morgan and Tyler. We knew that from the very first coffee date we had with them. Neither Morgan nor Tyler’s parents had a big wedding and it was very important to them to be able to include their parents in every part of their day.
Morgan and Tyler choose to do a first look but they wanted to include their parents and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever seen. I can still hear Tyler saying “I’m not ready” right before he turned around to see his bride and Morgan’s daddy placing his hand on his back to comfort him. It was amazing to see how these two families have built such an awesome relationship with one another.
Morgan’s father also officiated the wedding. It was a beautiful sight to see the family worshipping together before the vows were made. I love when couples write their own vows. It was beautiful to hear each of them share their heart to each other even though they paused a few times to wipe their tears.
Morgan announced at the reception that her and Tyler wanted their parents to share the first dance even before they did. There wasn’t a detail left out that Morgan and Tyler had not planned. Morgan and Tyler may the Lord bless you and keep you and may He make His face to shine upon you!
Tyler gave Morgan a pair of pearl earrings and a pearl necklace after their first look. Morgan was wearing her grandmother’s pearls so she doubled the strand and wore both. This was her “something old and something new”.
Tyler carried his grandfather’s handkerchief along with the one Morgan had monogramed for him.
Tyler wore his grandfather’s signet ring that was given to him, engraved inside are the words CHERISH-GIGI
Morgan’s “something blue” was given to her from her grandmother. It was a gorgeous sapphire ring and bracelet.
Heather was Morgan’s Maid of Honor. She’s also Morgan’s sister. Heather was fostered by Morgan’s parents when she was 2 years old and later adopted into their family. Heather’s speech was absolutely beautiful as she shared her story of God’s grace and the special relationship her and Morgan have. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place including ours.
