The University of Alabama graduation ceremony for this semester had to be canceled due to Covid-19. Like many colleges around the country, the University of Alabama had to close earlier than planned, causing all students to evacuate the campus before the semester was completed. Though Blakeley was sad not to be able to walk, she is incredibly excited for the next part of her life.
“The cords represent my involvement in different honor societies: the Tau Sigma Honor Society and the Society of Human Resource Management
When I started my college career 4 years ago, my plan to was attend a community college and then transfer to a university close to home. During my sophomore year at Coastal Alabama Community College, I was awarded a full tuition scholarship to the University of Alabama. I knew this was the route God wanted me to take even though I’m an LSU fan! I immediately fell in love with UA and it quickly became my new home.
My time at The University of Alabama might have been cut short but I’m beyond thankful for the opportunities that the past 4 years have brought me. God has a plan for everything and I’m at peace knowing that all things work together for the good of those that love God and are called according to HIS purpose. The past 4 years have been nothing but the best and I can’t wait to see what the next 4 have in store. Only 6 more weeks and I’ll be a college graduate!! 🎓🎉” Blakeley
