Ashley and CJ had to make a lot of changes to their wedding day. Their original reception location had to be changed, and they had to scramble last minute to find a getting ready space. Then a tropical storm popped up in the gulf causing it to rain off and on during the day. You would have never known any of these things because they have waited for this day for over 6 years, and nothing was going to stop these two from getting married.
Ashley and CJ are high school sweethearts, and it didn’t matter what else was going to happen that day. They were going to get married, and we were going to photograph it. They got married at their home church with all their close friends and family and it was amazing! I loved watching them together. CJ and Ashley are not overly emotional but the smile and look in their eyes when they are together is evidence of their great love for one another.
We were originally going to a separate location for sunset portraits, but due to the rain, we opted to stay at the church. We found a quiet little location on campus and brought clear umbrellas to take their husband and wife portraits. CJ and Ashley we are so excited for you guys. Thanks for playing in the rain with us! May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you!
