Psalm 127:3 “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.”

As Mother’s Day is quickly approaching it reminds me of all the generations of mother’s before me.  I was honored to capture these sweet ladies and document 4 generations this weekend.  Generations of mother’s who have and are living out Proverbs 31.  “Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.”

“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.  She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness, Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:”

“Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.  Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised”

These ladies represent generations of godliness, love, kindness and beauty.  It is such a treasure to have and leave such a legacy for all the generations to come.  Charlie my prayer for you is that many will say of you:  “I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmothers and in your mother and now, I am sure dwells in you as well.” (2 Timothy 1:5) Proverbs 17:6 reminds us “Grandchildren are the crown of the aged…” and my prayer for you ladies is that you would “tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. …. that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:” (adapted from Psalm 78).
