I can remember Nate and Marissa sitting is our living room floor during Bible study a few years ago and thinking how sweet they were together.  Nate is always so gentle and Marissa is so kind, they complement each other so beautifully.

 

Nate and Marissa met in the 10th grade and started dating the summer before their junior year of high school. They dated for four and a half years seeking the Lord’s plan in marriage for their lives.  In December of 2017 on the way back from a date night, Nate dropped to one knee in Marissa’s parents’ driveway.  Marissa wasn’t expecting it and Nate was so excited to finally ask her to be his wife.  Marissa’s favorite part about that night is that they were singing gospel  songs together all the way home.

Nate and Marissa desire to serve the Lord however and wherever He calls.  They want their marriage to mirror the love that Christ has for His church and they are praying that the Lord would use them to lead others to know the love of Jesus.

Nate has been involved with the Air Force since middle school.  He was in Civil Air Patrol for several years and then enlisted in the Air Force Reserves and is currently an Airman First Class (E-3).  He recently graduated with his Associate’s degree from the University of Mobile. Marissa is in nursing school at the University of South Alabama and will graduate next May.  She will be a 4th generation nurse when she finishes.
